One of my favourite fragrances is Tom Ford Tuscan Leather.  It’s rich, dark and masculine.  Scent notes are Saffron, Thyme, Olibanum, Leather, Black Suede, Amberwood Thyme.  A perfect date night fragrance.  I discovered the scent when I happened to pick up a set of Razorock Tuscan Oud which is inspired by the scent.  The fragrance on that soap set is just perfect.  It is close enough to the OG and it is strong from soap to splash.  I do find Razorock soaps leave me wanting a bit in the performance department so I was on the hunt for something better.  I discovered and picked up Oleo New City: Back of the Yards and while the soap performance is one of my favourites, the scent was a bit too raspberry forward and a bit too light on the aftershave strength.  The other dupe I was aware of was Wholly Kaw Italian Holiday.  Knowing the Bufala base performs very well, I had to give it a shot.

Upon opening the tub, I was immediately greeted with that familiar fragrance.  That smokey leather and oud coming through with just that subtle hint of raspberry.  I’d say it is just on the lighter side of medium off the puck but jumps up to medium once lathered.  In my opinion is is pretty close to the OG fragrance, with Razorock just a touch closer and stronger for my senses.  Still plenty close enough for me.  Performance on the Bufala base (bison milk/tallow and donkey milk) is fantastic.  It loads and lathers very easily and gives top marks in all categories (cushion, slickness lathered and residual, and post shave).  No complaints on the soap.

The aftershave splash scent matches well but is just not quite as strong as I would prefer scent wise.  Razorock Tuscan Oud has it beat in the scent category.  It could be the subtle menthol in it that knocks it down a touch.  This is still a closer to the OG than the Oleo dupe and performs much better than the Razorock splash.  Skin was left feeling nice and hydrated.

So here I am, on the fence, I don’t need to keep two sets of the same scent.  One is better in scent strength and duplication.  The other is much better in the performance department.  I could keep the WK soap and the RR splash but it just isn’t in my nature to break up a matching set.  What should I do?  What would you do?
