a short time ago, I gave my second go at a batch of soap making. The forumula is pretty much the same as the last batch with a tweak to the scent. I wanted so make sure I can consistently produce what I was looking for. The scent on this go is more of a cologne scent. Notes on this one are Bergamot, Ambroxan, Geranium, Pepper, Lavender, Vetiver, Patchouli. The scent strength is a little more subtle but I’m quite happy with the vibe on it.
I decided to give a go with a feather blade in the Yaqi double open comb which I have been digging lately. I must have gotten a bit cocky this go because the sharpness of the feather bit me a couple times. Very tiny, but a reminder I need to take my time a bit with using these ultra sharp blades.
To finish up, I used Chatillon Lux Unconditional Surrender. I’m really digging the CL splashes I have. They are wonderfully complex, carry longer than my average aftershave, and offer a low burn post shave that leaves one feeling fantastic. A great all around product.
